LopiAsk in Warsaw's spatial planning process

Heksagon, in cooperation with the city of Warsaw, conducted an extensive public consultation project to develop a new urban plan. A key tool was a geo-survey, the use of which was intended to increase the participation of residents and collect relevant data for urban planners.

Implementation

Over 17 weeks, the geo-survey engaged more than 16,000 participants who marked more than 122,000 points. This extensive data collection provided insights into how residents travel, where they engage in activities, and ratings of their neighborhoods based on various criteria.

The scale and methodology of the project enabled the collection of valuable datathat may have have been missed using traditional methods, making this project the largest geo-survey conducted in Poland.

The use of the geo-survey has enabled wider public involvement public and provided precise, user-generated data spatial planning to urban planning. This approach has allowed for more informed decision-making, Better reflecting the needs and preferences of Warsaw residents.
